Organic Meat

Organic Meat Offers True Flavor
Organic meat is a delight. If you are a meat lover and you are looking for
something that is true and bold, you don't have to look any further than organic meat.

While many meats at the butcher or local grocer can be considered high quality or triple A, it
is meat that is introduced as organic that will actually tickle your taste buds and fulfill your love of your
favorite cuts. There are many options today as far as organic meat is concerned. You could see poultry and fish
making a big step in the specialty shops as favorites. Beef has always been a favorite of red meat eaters, so it
should come as no surprise that it is being produced organically.
Other meats such as pork and lamb are quickly catching up to the pack, as they are now being
showcased even in local grocery stores. While finding organic meat in local stores is not uncommon today, you will
always find the better choices in the smaller boutiques or dedicated butcher shops.
No Artificial Growth Hormones
One of the most important and appreciated facets about organic meat, is that you will find absolutely no artificial growth hormones used to
produce and or raise the animal for consumption purposes. Whether it is a steer, chicken, or hog, you will be able
to rest easy knowing that you are not feeding your family something that was fed byproduct or injected additives.
This is a practice that was once very prominent in farming and the growth of these animals for humans. Today is an
entirely different scenario. With the government watchdogs monitoring the farming industry diligently, farmers are
now on the same page in regards to what would be considered clean meat.
The farmers do not need to feed the livestock additives or hormones anymore, as the new
practices that are performed in raising the animals are more natural and produce a better product all the way
around. This translates into better sellable product as the stores and better foods on your family table.
Definite Difference
When it comes to organic meat, there really is a huge noticeable
difference in both appearance and quality. At first sight from a distance, both organic and standard meat would
look pretty much the same. Once you get closer to the product however that is on display the similarities start to
thin out.
First and foremost you will see that the meat that is not "enhanced" is of a more vibrant color.
The reds are more pronounced in beef and likewise with the pink on a good cut of pork. The modified or treated
meats will have less coloring in them as a result of quicker aging through growth hormone exposure. The most
important difference of course would be the taste. This is something on which the standard meat cannot compete
against when compared to organic meat.
The taste of organic foods is vastly superior to their "standard" counterparts and meat is no
exception to this rule. This meat is going to immediately fill your mouth with the flavor that you would expect
from a cut that looks fantastic behind glass. Whether it is on the grill or in the oven, you will notice the
immediate impact of the intense flavor.
Organic meat is something that someone would have to experience in order to see
just how much better it is than what you would be accustomed too. On a final note, while some may assume that they
would have to pay an arm and a leg for quality organic cuts this is simply not so. There are many fantastic
locations near you that a good organic cut can be had for no more than a dollar more per pound that the regular
meat.
