Organic Milk

Organic Milk Offers A Better All Around Milk Experience
Organic milk should please all milk drinkers.

If you are one of the millions upon millions of milk lovers worldwide, then you obviously have
been confronted with the idea of trying organic milk. This milk while basically the same in appearance and smell,
differs in the taste department and unfortunately the price department.
While not incredibly expensive, this milk is indeed more costly than its regular shelf mates. It
is important to understand the differences between organic milk and milk that is merely UHT milk.
The UHT stands for Ultra High Temperature treatment and is used to kill any and all bacterium
present. This is something that can easily fool someone that does not know the difference. The process in which the
milk is produced has nothing to do with the fact that the milk is organic or not.
Organic milk is produced by not adding any growth hormones or hormones meant to help produce
more milk by the cows. The cows are also meant to be able to graze in the pasture for a minimum of 120 days.
Eating feed that is dry and not soil rooted, will take away the certificate from the
farmer trying to sell organic products.
Available Everywhere
One of the best aspects about organic milk today, is that is
available virtually anywhere. From the local grocery store to the fine organic shops, this milk is making its self
available on cooled shelves. The farmer that produces this milk needs to be pre approved by not only the government
but the store they sell too, in order to have their goods sold. If someone is looking for organic milk, then this
is exactly what they should receive. This is why the regulations are so tight and are checked upon regularly by the
USDA and other regulators globally.
A farmer must ensure that their herd is out and grazing as required by law and this is what
separates them from the rest of the farmers. Generally and non organic farmers do not have to comply with these
standards on grazing and feeding. They rely on the pasteurization process to make sure the milk is safe for human
consumption and that it tastes as it does.
Organic farmers do not use the pasteurization process as they are more opt to go with the UHT
method of removing harmful bacterium from the milk before it is shipped. This will both allow it to be marketed as
such and it will give it an increased shelf life.
Natural Tasting
It is easy to see why people have fallen in love with organic milk, as
it simply tastes like what you would envision good milk would be like. It tastes natural and straight from the cow
so to speak. This is done by not tampering with the cow or the way that they draw the milk from them. While this
process is definitely a more detailed and time consuming process, the outcome is something that is far more
rewarding.
When you purchase the milk from the store, you can be sure that each and every drop of this milk
was provided painstakingly by both the cow and the farmer. What comes out of the dedication at the farm ends on
your table with your family. This is a product that you can be happy to serve them and the benefits both in quality
and taste definitely outweigh the minor cost adjustments.
Trying organic milk for the first time can actually be something unexpected.
The fact that the milk is so pure and so free from chemicals, leads the milk to being considered very wholesome. It
is worth the time it took to produce and it is definitely worth the money to purchase.
